Key points:
- corporate experience (prefer an accounting firm or law firm)
- 5 years of manger experience in managing events and a small team (this person will be managing about 3 people)
- Will consider someone with less experience if they have solid managerial experience
- In the office 5 days a week 9:00am to 6:00pm
- Occasionally working on the weekends
- Someone who has strong experience working with multiple conference room scheduling
- Will be working with people with other departments on a regular basis so good communication skills.
What You'll Do:
- Craft Memorable Events: Manage in-person, virtual, and hybrid events with creativity and flair.
- Collaborate and Innovate: Work with our in-house team and external vendors to bring exciting visions to life.
- Lead with Confidence: Oversee events from start to finish, including budgeting, analytics, and post-event reporting.
- Engage and Delight: Coordinate everything from setup to cleanup, ensuring every detail is perfect.
- Hospitality Management: Oversee day-to-day requests, firm-wide food and beverage service, and kitchen supplies in all offices.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Production Magic: Handle budgeting, site visits, vendor RFPs, and production schedules.
- Seamless Execution: Coordinate tasks within financial and time constraints for flawless events.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records for all events, hospitality functions, and event travel.
- Team Collaboration: Work with marketing and other teams for guest lists, name tags, and more.
- On-Site Coordination: Manage setup, signage, registration, F&B, tech requirements, and trade show support.
- Virtual Event Expertise: Execute creative and technically sound virtual events.
- Department Coordination: Ensure procedures are followed for in-office events and timely notifications are provided.
What You Bring:
- Event Management Pro: Proven experience in executing multiple events across cities.
- F&B Savvy: Strong knowledge of the food and beverage industry for menu creation.
- Communication Star: Excellent writing and interaction skills, especially with C-suite individuals.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office, Zoom, and graphic design tools like Canvas.
- Team Leader: Experience managing a team and working across time zones.
- Problem Solver: Calm under pressure, with a knack for multitasking and innovation.
- Flexible and Ready: Willingness to work early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as needed.
Bonus Points:
- Law Firm Experience: A plus if you've worked in a law firm setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
