Job Description

Ready to revolutionize education with your exceptional talents? At Alpha Schools, we're not just teaching—we're transforming the educational landscape, and we need visionaries like you to lead the charge.

Whether you've dominated in athletics, mastered academic competitions, or excelled in your field, your drive for excellence is exactly what we're seeking. This role offers you the chance to pivot your high-achieving mindset toward nurturing the same potential in young minds.

As a Youth Program Director at Alpha, you'll channel your passion for excellence into creating an environment where students discover their own capabilities and passions. You won't be confined by traditional educational boundaries—you'll be breaking them.

You've already proven your ability to reach extraordinary heights. Now, help us elevate the next generation to reach theirs. Join Alpha and transform your personal achievements into a legacy of inspiration.

Why Alpha stands apart:

  • Exceptional compensation package with comprehensive benefits for in-person team members
  • Clear advancement pathways—many of our Guides evolve into leadership positions
  • Access to cutting-edge educational technology and leadership resources

Join our educational revolution across our growing network of campuses:

  • Texas: Austin, Houston & Fort Worth
  • Florida: Miami, Orlando, Tampa & West Palm Beach
  • Phoenix, Arizona
  • Santa Barbara, California
  • New York City, New York
  • The Bahamas

What you will be doing

  • Building genuine connections with students that spark curiosity and cultivate a mindset of unlimited potential
  • Harnessing cutting-edge AI and adaptive learning platforms to create personalized educational journeys
  • Creating an atmosphere where growth mindset thrives, helping students identify and develop their unique talents
  • Actively participating in the evolution of Alpha's revolutionary educational approach through feedback and innovation
  • Designing and facilitating dynamic life skills workshops that prepare students for real-world success beyond academics

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering conventional education through outdated methods—you won't be lecturing from textbooks or following rigid curricula (this is not a tutor or teaching assistant position)
  • Focusing solely on academic metrics while neglecting students' personal development and growth journey
  • Restricting learning to traditional approaches when innovative technologies and methods could better serve our students

Key Responsibilities

Your core mission is to embody Alpha's commitment to limitless education. You'll create an environment where boundaries disappear, helping students develop the confidence to explore, question, and grow beyond conventional expectations. Your role centers on transforming educational experiences into journeys of self-discovery and unlimited potential.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • Demonstrated excellence in your field—whether as an academic achiever (National Merit Scholar, Fulbright recipient), competitive athlete (Division I competitor, Olympic participant), competition winner (chess champion, debate finalist, science fair medalist), or comparable accomplishment
  • Exceptional communication abilities with proven capacity to captivate and inspire diverse audiences
  • Genuine passion for connecting with and motivating K-8 students
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Commitment to work on-site at one of our campus locations
