Title: UI/UX Designer III Location: Remote (Preferred EST but open but will need to be flexible) Job Description: Job Summary The User Experience Research, Strategy & Design Team is a dynamic team of mixed method UX Research and Data Strategists, multi-disciplined UX Designers and Copywriters. We are looking for a highly collaborative and motivated Senior User Experience Designer to work within our Product Design Team. You'll join a cross-functional group working on key efforts at TCGplayer. Together, you'll look critically at how our product experiences fit into business goals while also delighting our users. You'll have the opportunity to show your diverse UX background throughout the entire product design process. You will perform agile UX design and usability testing, lead workshops to help teams get to successful solutions, and see products through to delivery. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about beautiful, user-centered design that is heavily rooted in quantitative data and qualitative insights, and experienced in leading design initiatives across the entire product lifecycle within a cross-functional team. Will pick up existing work that are already in flight Senior Design role - autonomy and responsibility they will hold Work with the Buyer side team - working with the product manager who own the set of projects and directly with engineers and report to Doug Agile environment Buyer side user facing - trading card within customer facing buyer experience that is focused on searching, identifying, browsing and purchasing products and life cycle end to end Looking for seasoned designer who can hit the ground running mix between web and mobile web Essential Functions Rapidly prototype, build and ideate on designs informed by user needs, data, business objectives and technical capabilities; resulting in scalable experiences that can be adopted by multiple groups and span across multiple channels of the business. Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, working closely with engineering, product and business partners to find solutions that meet the needs of both the business and customers. Create solutions with the appropriate level of detail and fidelity for every UX phase of the product development life cycle, actively scaling design assets from simple sketches, design concepts, high-fidelity wireframes, clickable prototypes and final annotated design deliverables. Design for accessibility standards and help to maintain standardized design language systems. Work closely with UX Researchers/Strategists on testing protocol, collection and synthesis of customer insights to ensure UX solutions are aligned to customer expectations. Help create new design processes to improve the quality of products delivered while increasing the speed of delivery. Competency (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Mastery of working within an agile environment and a multidisciplinary team, including: your fellow designers, product managers, software engineers, front end engineers and stakeholders. Mastery of standard interactive design tools like Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite. Extensive experience in creating end-to-end design solutions. Understanding of HTML, CSS and frontend frameworks like Vue. Extensive experience conducting agile user research, with a focus on usability testing and solution mapping for applications, software and websites. Experience leveraging AB testing tools and analyzing user feedback and activity, and the ability to use that data to enhance the user experience. Extensive experience developing seamless, unified designs that span across multiple channels of a business and are accessible to a variety of users from many devices and platforms. Required Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study, or a combination of education and experience. 7+ years of related experience designing at tech companies or digital agencies. Able to successfully manage all aspects of a project from start to finish. Proven experience leading full life cycle design projects, from design strategy through execution and market introduction. A portfolio or samples of work demonstrating your process for creating user-centered and business impactful design solutions. A collaboration and team-focused work approach. Preferred Qualifications BA/BS Degree in a design-related field. Experience in consumer-facing eCommerce, online marketplace Physical Demands The role involves the following physical demands on a regular basis: Mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer. Sitting or standing for an extended period of time, up to eight hours per day. Ability to use vision to read computer screen and read printed materials. Disqualifiers or Dislikes on Resumes: Having no prior SR Design roles in resume Not able to demonstrate in the portfolio the end-to-end process- sketches, wireframes, user testing Education Requirement: Industry more important than degree Minimum 7 years of experience - previous roles were Senior Designers Required Testing: AB, Unmoderated (nice to have) Software Skills Required: Figma, Jira Required Certifications: NA Preferred companies/industries: eCommerce, Purchasing and payments and pricing Candidate Value Proposition: Portfolio: Any format for portfolio Able to see end to end process - sketches, wireframes, user testing Need to be adept in information architecture and flows and interaction design - can will work on site wide navigation Need to have a visual component- need to see craft and attention to detail and aesthetics Design quality in user facing web-based experience - mix between web and mobile web Difficult Aspects of Role: Some projects will require testing - have a UX research team that conducts testing but will need to use unmoderated testing and AB testing would be great to have experience
