Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse – Orthopedics (Night Shift)
Location: Sumner Regional Medical Center, Gallatin, TN
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Employment Type: Travel Contract

The Travel Orthopedic RN provides specialized nursing care to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and conditions. This role involves monitoring patient progress, managing pain, assisting with mobility, and collaborating with the healthcare team to support recovery and rehabilitation.

• Assess and monitor orthopedic patients during post-operative and recovery phases.
• Administer medications and manage pain control protocols.
• Assist patients with mobility and physical therapy coordination.
• Provide wound care and monitor for signs of infection or complications.
• Document patient care accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee or compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent orthopedic or surgical nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work night shifts and manage multiple patients effectively.

• Experience in travel nursing.
• Familiarity with orthopedic protocols and post-surgical care.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records systems.

• Inpatient orthopedic unit.
• 12-hour night shifts.
• May include weekends and holidays.
• Fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
