Summary/Objective

As the Training Coordinator , you will be responsible for maintaining the standards of our organization’s training by developing and delivering comprehensive training and tracking the progress of training for projects across Sparus. You will also participate in identifying development opportunities for employees and editing company procedures. This person will report to project leadership.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in the development of customized learning content by creating new content or updating existing content to meet the needs of Sparus Holdings and all lines of business.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to develop and implement training courses and materials for employee development and compliance.
  • Provide support to operations by coordinating and tracking the training process for new employees.
  • Seek, gather, and analyze feedback and data from all areas of the organization regarding the effectiveness of completed training courses.
  • Deliver training in the field, classroom, and virtually.
  • Conduct research within the industry to remain up to date on active curriculum.
  • Maintain training materials and information to include storage, permissions, and systems.
  • Serve as an evaluator and auditor
  • All other duties as assigned.

Competencies/Qualifications

  1. Understanding of the Operator Qualification regulations and process.
  2. Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
  3. Experience leading in-person and virtual training
  4. Ability to work within a team environment and exercise some independent judgment.
  5. Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  6. Ability to establish learning outcomes and educate using relevant practical tools.
  7. Ability to professionally collaborate with internal and external clients.
  8. Ability to work in a high-volume environment
  9. Strong attention to detail

Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
  • 2+ years of experience working as a Trainor, Training Facilitator, or other relevant position
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including SharePoint & Outlook

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience within the utility industry is preferred but not required.
  • BA/BS degree preferred but not required

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position. The days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m EST. Occasional evening and weekend work required as job duties demand.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% with flexibility to increase when need is presented.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
