Kindle has changed the way books are published, sold, and read across the globe. Independent authors are now able to publish and sell direct to readers through Kindle and print-on-demand offerings, enabling them to reach audiences never before available. Kindle readers are able to download any book in any language in sixty seconds.

The Kindle Finance & Accounting Tech Engineering team is responsible for providing accurate and timely royalty calculations and accounting entries for all Kindle and print-on-demand book sales. Publishers and authors of all shapes and sizes rely on Amazon to correctly account for all book sales so that they are paid correctly.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, You will closely work with product managers, software development teams, and business teams to understand the domain and ensure that the design meet the requirements. You will need to be able to articulate technology choices and decisions to a diverse group and be able to influence them. In all, this role is an exciting mix of solid technical complexity, partnering with the business team, and delivery excellence. You will be ably supported by a team of engineers, product manager, program manager and senior leaders. There will be leadership growth opportunity.

Successful candidates will have a technical background, be detail-driven, excellent program management capabilities, and have excellent problem solving abilities. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
