FloSports is a world-class sports media company strategically positioned to be the essential destination for passionate sports fans, delighting them with live event coverage, breaking news, highlights, stats, rankings, and team and player profiles. THE ROLE:

As a key member of the marketing team, your primary responsibility will be to drive new subscriber growth using effective performance marketing strategies and channels. This will require expertise in paid digital marketing channels, with a particular focus primarily on paid social, preferably experienced with paid search as well, and other related growth marketing channels. You will directly contribute to driving growth and developing top-notch digital strategies for FloSports. This position is based in Austin, Texas.

Reporting to the Sr Director of Performance Marketing, you should have a data-driven, entrepreneurial mindset and be highly collaborative. Your success in this position will be measured by your ability to build scalable campaign portfolios through cutting-edge ad product expansion, ad technology, test and learn agenda, and a focus on performance versus plan. You are expected to drive growth across different customer segments and sports verticals while maintaining a healthy ROI.

The role of the Sr. Manager, Paid Media involves overseeing all aspects of the strategic process of channel optimization. This includes direct day-to-day campaign execution, and potentially managing relationships with supporting teams or agencies. Responsibilities include developing the paid media budget tracking & accountability in collaboration with the Sr Director, setting KPIs and benchmarks, creating experimentation roadmaps and timelines, handling & managing requests of many ad creatives across multiple verticals (sports) for use in multiple campaigns a month, and reporting performance to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

As part of a growing team of marketers, you will be responsible for developing best-in-class paid media strategies for FloSports. The focus will be on driving incremental opportunities for acquisition while improving customer acquisition cost (CAC) and customer lifetime value (LTV) through marketing campaigns, experiments, and stretch projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly build and manage campaigns in Meta Ads, X, TikTok, Reddit, and develop new paid social channel opportunities.
  • Support the Performance Marketing team's efforts on Paid Search platforms (Google Ads, Bing Ads). Define growth plans, channel mix, and analyze data and analytics to achieve growth goals.
  • Collaborate with parallel marketing teams in an event-centric environment to plan and oversee the launch of paid media campaigns to acquire and activate new users in a scalable and efficient manner.
  • Take ownership of optimization of key performance indicators (KPIs), monitoring performance metrics daily, weekly, and monthly. Iterate quickly to optimize results, proactively identify obstacles, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Contribute to refining media mix through expansion of paid media channels (primarily Paid Social) and marketing attribution models to allocate resources effectively and drive growth.
  • Collaborate with various marketing functions (integrated marketing, product marketing, brand, design, creative team, business intelligence team, and customer support), as well as other departments to enhance user experiences and improve marketing reach, effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Develop strategies for executing data-driven, paid social & paid search campaigns that align with strategic market moments (seasonality) to reach target audiences. Demonstrate the ability to take advantage of opportunities that appear and disappear quickly in a highly 'event-driven' space.
  • Support an agile marketing process by conducting rapid experimentation across existing channels, campaigns, creative elements, and incentives to create scalable solutions. Be able to make clear proposals prior to experimentation, get buy-in, execute, and measure the success of the experiments. Be able to report on them at a high level.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • 6+ years of experience in paid media, managing a significant budget in a B2C function.
  • Proven success in building and executing paid social media campaigns for strong-growth and scaled companies.
  • Deep understanding of paid social media platforms, specifically Meta/Facebook Ads, YouTube, X, TikTok, Reddit, etc.
  • Additional interest in Google/Bing Ads.
  • Experience with campaign automation and bid optimization tools.
  • Strong analytical background and proficiency in rigorous data tools and data-driven decision making.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, including KPI reports, and translate insights into actionable steps.
  • Track record of performance optimization and leading large, cross-functional teams.
  • BS/BA in Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Computer Science, or related technical field is a plus.
  • Previous work experience in subscription-based businesses, technology, media, or sports is a plus.
