Qualifications - Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred - BSN.
- Experience: 1 year Cardiovascular surgical and/or OR experience, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. BLS, required.
- Additional Skills (required):
- Highly trained to perform open-heart surgical procedures.
- Highly specialized in cardiovascular procedures and acuity, instrumentation, and breath of knowledge.
- Ability to manage the increase workload that may be experienced in the CVOR.
- Ability to take high volume of on call for cardiovascular cases.
- Ability to handle difficult situations and effectively perform under the highest levels of stress.
- Ability to accommodate varying schedules.
- Ability to effectively work with and manipulate equipment such as tandem heart, balloon pump, cardiopulmonary bypass/heart-lung machines, and perfusion cannulation.
- Med-Rad injector skills.
- Ability to perform operations of hybrid CV suite, equipment and bed.
- Additional Skills (preferred): Critical Thinking Skills
