Job overview and responsibilities The Program Manager - Cargo Regulatory Risk serves as the owner of investigations and validations related to Cargo Safety and Regulatory Compliance. They drive the regulatory response program and coordinate cross-divisional safety projects when needed, as well as proactively manage Cargo's relationship with regulators and other partners. Additionally, this role applies available safety data to analyze and initiate proactive risk reduction and confirm the ongoing efficiency of established safety measures.
- Serves as a key point of contact for regulators for regulatory mitigation and validation
- Drives transparency through data analysis of all available data streams (Cargo QC and Security Audit CAPA, etc) to ensure compliance with regulatory commitments
- Leads Cargo Safety and Regulatory mitigations and validation to align with regulatory commitments through data collection and cross-divisional alignment and drives solutions to meet or exceed regulatory expectations
- Forges cohesive and complete strategy to support implementation of regulatory investigations / commitments (VDRP, Compliance Actions, etc.)
- Coordinates Cargo Safety and Regulatory Compliance with key collaborators including FAA, USCBP, TSA, EASA, and other regulators (domestic and international)
Please note: This is a Chicago-based, hybrid role. This role has an approximate 60-70% travel requirement. Qualifications What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): - Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in Aviation, operations, logistics or legal-related field, or Regulatory Experience working with Compliance to the US Code of Federal Regulations
- 2+ years or experience working with US regulatory compliance
- Knowledge of US Regulatory Compliance Schemes
- Ability to clearly communicate to partners of all experience and influence levels
- Strong project management skills including timeline management
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications): - Advanced degree in Multiple areas of study
- 4+ years or experience working with US regulatory compliance including technical response drafting
- 2+ years completing operational validations/auditing
- Proven ability to hold others accountable to safety commitments
- Working knowledge of logistics industry
