Job Overview Position Schedule: Full-Time
This leader has responsibility for oversight of daily trading of fee-based accounts, mutual funds, and insurance/annuity products (251 million trades totaling $704 billion in 2023), including clearing all trades, funding daily settlement, and ensuring trade confirms are correct and in compliance with regulatory reporting guidelines. The role is responsible for five departments with roughly 100 associates who ensure client trades and related activity are handled with excellence and in compliance with regulatory requirements and firm risk tolerance. This leader must collaborate with counterparts across the firm to ensure processes and systems are compliant, scalable, and prepared for the firm's and Operations transformation. This leader represents the firm to many external strategic partners and industry utilities and participates in forums to review the performance of these partners. This licensed principal supports many regulations, regulatory inquiries and is appropriately licensed to execute selling agreements/insurance contracts.
Responsible for overseeing diverse functional and matrixed areas of responsibility. This leader is modernizing, digitizing and streamlining the future Operations of the firm which includes planning, strategy development and decision-making for trading at Edward Jones This individual will lead transformation of Operations Trading capability while ensuring the delivery of practical and reliable Operations systems and processes. The role succeeds with a balance of strategic thinking, practical problem solving, and influential leadership.
This senior leader will also need:
- Knowledge of industry trading process, procedures, relevant rules and regulations
- Understanding of current and emerging technology, systems and automation related to trading
- Ability to understand, lead and influence industry practices
- Experience leading significant transformational change in a complex corporate environment
- Ability to actively identify an increasing number of changing industry rules and regulations and regularly develop new procedures and systems to ensure compliance
- Knowledge of risk management and control design, including enterprise risk and control governance
- Strong understanding of the following functions in Operations, including how those functions fit into other firm processes
- Security Processing
- Cash Processing,
- Packaged Products
- Client Reporting
- Client books and records

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:

Hiring Maximum: $300000
Skills/Requirements - Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree preferred
- CPA or other industry designation(s) a plus
- 15+ Years Operations experience
- 10+ years' experience in a matrixed environment as a leader of leaders, teams of 50+ associates
- FINRA certifications 7 and 24 required within 6-12 months of hire. Other certifications may be required depending on specific responsibilities
