Job Description
GENERAL DUTIES
- Operate all Powder coating equipment including guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems.
- Inspect received parts for compliance before paint for cosmetic flaws.
- Reads work orders or production board to determine specified color for job.
- Apply primary and finish coats on the front side of products, backside of products and small parts using a limited variety of colors and types of paint changing nozzles and pressures as required to a level B/A finish.
- Able to consistently produce a Class B/A finish using an intermediate level of application with minimal flaws.
- Move material as required and use material handling equipment.
- Tests and adjusts equipment under the guidance of management to establish proper air/ powder setting and application technique.
- Identify powder coat equipment and production issues; troubleshoots issues with management and appropriate personnel.
- Clean spray booths, guns, and hoppers for color changes to avoid contamination.
- Maintains excellent attendance.
- Maintain 97% quality on all painted parts and products.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-3 years of experience in powder coating or related manufacturing environment.
- Able to produce high quality class B/A painted parts and products.
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check are required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to stand, walk and lift for up to 8 hours daily.
- Vision abilities requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth
- Required to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 lbs. continually.
- May be required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Moderately loud noise levels in plant environment.
