We’re currently expanding and looking for a Controller/Office Manager with strong IT skills to join our growing team. This unique role combines financial expertise with operational management and IT integration, making it ideal for someone who is eager to take on diverse responsibilities and help drive the success of a fast-growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management : Prepare monthly financial reports, annual budgets, and forecasts, and assist in long-term financial planning. Ensure accurate and timely financial statements and reporting.
  • Payroll & Benefits : Manage payroll processing, employee benefits, and insurance administration to ensure all employee compensation and benefits are accurately managed.
  • Financial Analysis & Strategy : Analyze financial data to support decision-making, profitability, and operational efficiencies. Offer insights to ownership for business strategy and cost control.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance : Develop and enforce internal financial controls, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and oversee tax-related processes.
  • System Integration & IT Support : Leverage IT systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, cloud-based tools) to integrate financial reporting, automate tasks, and streamline financial processes. Troubleshoot IT-related issues for smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Office Automation & Software Solutions : Identify and implement software solutions that automate office and financial operations, reducing manual workload and improving team productivity.
  • Vendor & CRM Management : Manage vendor relationships and ensure CRM and SaaS systems (e.g., SmartMoving, project management tools) are properly integrated and optimized for business needs.
  • Insurance & Permits : Oversee the renewal of insurance policies and manage the compliance with local business permits and fees.
  • Collaboration & Reporting : This position reports directly to the owner/founder, working closely with sales, marketing, operations, and accounting teams to ensure seamless financial operations and business growth. Collaborate with the remote CFO to ensure proper financial oversight and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience : Minimum 5-7 years of experience in accounting, finance, or office management roles, including prior experience as a controller in a small to medium-sized business.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, G Suite, and cloud-based financial tools. Experience with CRM systems (e.g., SmartMoving) and SaaS products is a plus.
  • Financial Acumen : Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting skills. Experience with internal controls and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • IT Integration : Experience with automating financial processes, troubleshooting IT issues, and optimizing software to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Communication Skills : Ability to explain complex financial and non-financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail : Exceptional attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in all financial and operational tasks.
  • Self-Starter : A proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
