Pleasant Hill insurance company is in need of a temp to hire General Office Clerk. In this General Office position, you will work 32 hours a week Monday-Thursday.

This General Office Clerk position performs a variety of clerical support functions under the general supervision of the Human Resources Manager. Typical duties include front office reception, receiving and directing of incoming telephone calls, processing of incoming U.S. Mail including worker comp claims which includes assigning to the appropriate claims staff, photocopy, faxing, and filing activities; may prepare and/or process purchase orders and utilize inventory control procedures to ensure sufficient supplies and materials meet the needs of the staff. Acts as back-up for Office Assistant II duties in the event of absence or need.

This position is in a fast paced environment requiring you to multitask and requires you to be on your feet for extended periods of time. Must be detail oriented as your positions impacts other departments within the company.

• Previous experience of at least 3 years as an Office Assistant in the Financial Services industry
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook and basic office skills
• Familiarity with switchboard operations for 1-10 lines
• Experience in scheduling appointments and calendar management
• Knowledge of records maintenance, mail processing, and email management
• Typing speed of under 45 WPM
• Expertise in filing, scanning documents, inter-office mail handling
• Understanding of workers compensation and insurance procedures
• Ability to operate scanning equipment and manage document scans
• Demonstrable ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
