The Nurse BH Clinic Support works in the role of assisting with clinic support that includes training and assisting with quality measures.
This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. This position will be based out of Clinton, but candidate must be willing to travel within the Southwest Region to assist with training and orientation of new nursing staff.
Responsibilities Include:
Assist practitioner in clinics performing duties such as delivering patient care, administering treatments, monitoring vital signs, performing tests, handling mental health emergencies
Assist with post-clinic follow-up for post hospitalizations, crisis calls, and client safety checks
Provides client education
Acts as an Immediate Access Nurse when does not have an assigned practitioner
Medication Refill Assistance collaborates with nurses to assist with refills during practitioner absence
Collaborates with Med Refill Department to assist with refills and pre-authorizations
Complete necessary documentation regarding medication CLINIC and psychiatric consultation for client records
Administer IM medications, maintains accurate logs on all medications received and dispensed
Maintain list of injections, coordinate ordering and delivery, verify orders are current, and discuss any side effects
Assist with training nursing staff to include new employees and for new and revised protocols
Provides coverage in regional outpatient clinics, as necessary
Orders and maintains lab supplies
Assist in keeping CCBHO & regulatory spreadsheets up to date & reports compliance issues to director
Provides staff coverage for Regional Nurse Director during PTO while maintaining nurse visit contacts
Obtains BLS Instructor Certification & teaches employee classes
Other duties assigned
Associates degree in nursing required
Bachelors degree in nursing preferred
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: LPN, licensed in Missouri required; RN, licensed in Missouri preferred
