FUNCTION :
The Logistics Coordinator's main objective is the movement of a company's product via all modes of transportation. The primary overriding goals of this position are to execute on-time service and respond to changing demands, while anticipating and mitigating potential hurdles for all internal and external stakeholders. The logistics coordinator is someone who prioritizes, executes, and handles a set of variables that can dynamically and quickly change. The position requires someone who works well under pressure with all company stakeholders (vendors, plants, logistics partners, internal and external customers).

DUTIES:

• Distribution of shipment paperwork and releases to domestic & international facilities
• Reconciliation of completed shipments via company ERP
• Routing of truckload shipments (stock transfers & orders) from within supply chain to various locations and customers
• Continuous correspondence via company platforms
• Filing claims for damaged/lost shipments
• Interface with 3rd party carriers & warehouses to coordinate shipment routing
• Facilitate cross-border Canadian shipments for international stock transfers and customer orders
• Deals with carrier documentation both inbound and outbound - Bill of Ladings, Dock Receipts, Carrier Pickups

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in logistics coordination or a related role
• Working knowledge and competence with Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams
• Familiarity with logistics software and systems (UPS, FedEx required)
• Problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
• Export Documentation & Process Knowledge highly preferred
• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-3 years' experience in Logistics/Supply Chain field
