Beacon Hill Financial is partnering with a dynamic and growing non-profit in Washington D.C. We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with limited experience looking to start their accounting career in a supportive environment. The Junior Accountant will assist with various accounting tasks and help maintain accurate financial records. Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate records of transactions.
• Help with monthly closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Maintain organized financial files and documentation for easy access and audits.
• Assist in the preparation for annual audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Respond to basic inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.
