Neighborhood Outreach Access to Health (NOAH) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that offers comprehensive, integrated, and affordable healthcare services to people in need. Job Summary:

The Grants Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and management of grant programs, ensuring effective coordination across all phases of the grant lifecycle. This role involves preparing budgets, researching funding opportunities, supervising grant staff, monitoring expenditures, building relationships with support agencies, tracking outcomes, and analyzing financial data. The Grants Manager also takes a leadership role in managing projects funded by grants, ensuring timely execution, compliance, and reporting.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Participates in interviews, selection, hiring, and onboarding of staff.
  • Provides training, advice, direction, and oversight for staff.
  • Delivers regular performance feedback and constructive performance evaluations; follows established disciplinary and termination procedures as needed.
  • Ensures staff adhere to and follow all organizational policies, safety standards, and healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborates with staff to create professional development plans.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify grant opportunities, including local, state, federal, and private funding sources, and assess eligibility criteria.
  • Collaborate with administrative managers to discuss and prioritize funding opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
  • Compile and prepare necessary documentation for grant applications through collaboration, research, and analysis.
  • Draft and submit grant applications, ensuring compliance with application guidelines and deadlines.
  • Coordinate the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of grant-funded projects, ensuring adherence to objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Develop detailed project plans for grant programs, including roles, responsibilities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Regularly review and report on the progress and outcomes of grant-funded programs to key stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive records for all grants, including applications, agreements, budgets, and reports.
  • Monitor grant expenditures and ensure compliance with funding requirements and regulations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with funding agencies and support organizations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of grant-funded projects, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Attend meetings, trainings, community outreach activities, and continuing education opportunities as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • In-depth understanding of local, state, and federal funding sources and ability to identify potential opportunities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of grant funding policies, procedures, and compliance regulations.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects, prioritize resources, and manage timelines effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including persuasive grant writing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to interpret financial data, prepare budgets, and create accurate financial reports.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
  • Professional discretion in handling sensitive information related to grants.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
  • 3+ years of experience in the non-profit healthcare and/or human service industries writing grants, developing proposals, and researching grant prospects required, 5+ years preferred.
  • 1+ years of federal grant experience preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience with community-based healthcare or Federally Qualified Health Centers preferred.
