Sodexo is seeking a  Food Operations Manager 3  for  The University of South Dakota located in  Vermillion, South Dakota. USD is the big-time university with a small-college feel. Living in Vermillion offers residents a dense suburban feel and offers a variety of things to do to enjoy that community! Located less than an hour's drive from Sioux City and Sioux Falls, less than 2 hours from Omaha and Minneapolis!

 

Relocation assistance is available. South Dakota has No State Tax!

 

This Food Operations Manager will manage the day to day Food Service Operations, Resident Dining, Retail, Catering and Concession for the campus and manage 5 other managers and over 100+ frontline employees. This role is second in command and offers great career growth opportunities!

• have oversight of day-to-day operations;
• deliver high quality food service;
• achieve company and client financial targets and goals; 
• develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
• develop strategic plans;
• create a positive environment;   and/or
• ensure Sodexo standards are met.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:  

• have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively; 
• have 3-5 years management experience in a multi-unit high volume dining - Retail or Concessions a Plus; 
• can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service; 
• prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; 
• demonstrate working knowledge of Food Management Systems and proficiency in computer skills/report management; and
• have a valid driver's license - is required.

NOTE:Budgeted Salary Range is $62,000 - 70,000. Relo is available.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree  or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years  work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
