JOB DESCRIPTION

Watershed Security currently has an opening for a Financial Systems Analyst to support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic). This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the cybersecurity implementations and operations, advanced technology, and project management services mission. In this mission.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• M.S. Computer Science, Accounting or Financial emphasis with 10 years of relevant experience
• DoD Secret Clearance
• Experience examining past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments that affect the organization’s spending.
• Must be able to develop and propose courses of actions (COAs) and recommendations for financial issues.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Individual shall have notable experience providing advice and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets; measuring organizational performance; assessing the effects of various programs and policies on the budget.
• Individual shall have experience examining budget estimates or proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives. Experience may include employing cost-benefit analysis to review financial requests, assess program tradeoffs, and explore alternative funding methods.
• Develop guidelines and policies governing the formulation and maintenance of budgets. May conduct training sessions for company or government agency personnel regarding new budget procedures.
• Coordinate financial activities across various stakeholders.
• Manage finances across multiple funding types. Track budgets, costs, and variances. Produce executive summaries. Conduct financial reporting and analyses on financial issues and customer requirements.
• Develop and propose courses of actions (COAs) and recommendations for financial issues.
• Individual shall be able to provide interpret and apply financial management principles; and apply financial management processes, techniques, policies, regulations and organizational strategic goals.
• Individual shall be proficient in research methods, statistical analysis, and the use of financial/analytical software (spreadsheets); have experience related to working as part of a team in the delivery of product or service; and have experience working with the Navy Working Capital Fund business model.
• Individual shall have notable experience supervising and/or mentoring of lesser experienced personnel.

PAY RANGE

Final salary is influenced by factors such as location, contract labor categories, experience, skills, education, and certifications. Watershed offers competitive compensation, medical and dental benefits, educational reimbursement, 401K plans with matching, 15 days of PTO to start and 11 paid holidays per year. The proposed salary range for this position is: $53,000 - $73,000 USD
