What You'll Do: Design and execute dozens of micro networking events annually targeting C-suite decision makers in freight, carrier, and asset management companies, creating intimate, high-value experiences that foster meaningful business relationships and showcase Augie's capabilities. Plan and manage large-scale industry conference activations at major logistics trade shows and events, coordinating booth presence, speaking opportunities, VIP hospitality suites, and executive roundtable discussions that position Augment as a thought leader. Develop creative, out-of-the-box event concepts that break through the noise in traditional logistics networking, incorporating unique venues, innovative formats, and memorable experiences that C-suite executives will prioritize attending. Build and maintain relationships with key industry influencers, conference organizers, venue partners, and logistics media to secure premium speaking slots, sponsorship opportunities, and collaborative event partnerships. Serve as Augment's brand ambassador at all events, representing our company with professionalism and expertise while engaging authentically with prospects, partners, and industry leaders to build lasting business relationships. Coordinate end-to-end event logistics including venue selection, catering, AV setup, transportation, accommodation, guest list management, registration systems, and on-site execution to ensure flawless experiences. Manage event budgets and vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, tracking expenses, and optimizing spend across multiple simultaneous events while maintaining high-quality standards and maximizing ROI. Create compelling event marketing campaigns working with our marketing team to develop invitations, promotional materials, social media content, and follow-up communications that drive attendance and engagement. Lead on-site event execution as the primary point of contact, managing setup, guest experience, troubleshooting, and breakdown while ensuring every detail reflects Augment's premium brand positioning. Develop post-event follow-up strategies to nurture relationships, track leads, measure success metrics, and convert event connections into meaningful business opportunities for our sales team. Stay current with industry trends and competitive landscape to identify new networking opportunities, emerging conferences, and innovative event formats that could benefit Augment's market positioning. What We're Looking For: 3+ years of experience in event planning, brand ambassadorship, or business development, preferably within B2B industries known for sophisticated networking such as finance, real estate, consulting, or enterprise technology. Proven track record of planning and executing high-level executive events, with experience managing both intimate networking gatherings (10-50 attendees) and large conference activations (500+ attendees). Strong understanding of C-suite dynamics and executive relationship building, with demonstrated ability to engage authentically with senior decision makers and create valuable networking experiences. Creative problem-solving skills with a talent for developing unique, memorable event concepts that stand out in crowded industry landscapes and create lasting impressions. Exceptional project management abilities with experience managing multiple concurrent events, complex logistics, vendor relationships, and tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills comfortable representing the company at high-profile events, facilitating introductions, and building relationships with diverse stakeholders. Budget management experience with demonstrated ability to optimize event spend, negotiate vendor contracts, and deliver maximum ROI while maintaining premium quality standards. Travel flexibility with ability to attend events across North America and occasionally internationally, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules. Self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently, take ownership of outcomes, and continuously innovate to improve event effectiveness and attendee experience. Bonus Points For: Established relationships within the logistics, freight, or transportation industry that can accelerate event attendance and partnership opportunities. Experience with luxury hospitality or high-end event production that demonstrates understanding of premium event standards and executive expectations. Background in industries known for sophisticated networking such as investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or pharmaceutical/biotech sectors. Event marketing and digital promotion expertise including social media strategy, content creation, and lead generation through event channels. Experience with event technology platforms such as registration systems, networking apps, lead capture tools, and virtual/hybrid event management. Public speaking or presentation skills that enable you to represent Augment effectively at industry panels, speaking engagements, and thought leadership opportunities. Multilingual capabilities particularly Spanish or other languages relevant to international logistics markets. Professional certifications in event planning (CMP, CSEP) or related fields that demonstrate commitment to industry best practices. Experience working with AI or technology companies that understand the unique challenges of marketing complex, innovative solutions to traditional industries.
