Description:
JOB OVERVIEW: The DOT Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the company adheres to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards. This role focuses on maintaining compliance across driver qualification files, hours-of-service logs, vehicle maintenance records, and drug and alcohol testing requirements. The specialist serves as the subject matter expert on DOT regulations, providing guidance to leadership, drivers, and staff while monitoring company practices to minimize risk and maintain safety.

Work is generally performed in a professional office environment. The noise level is typically low to moderate. The workspace is well lit, climate-controlled, and equipped with standard office furnishings and technology. Team members may work independently or collaboratively, with frequent computer and phone use. Some outdoor work may be required for this role.
PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Work is generally sedentary, with most tasks performed while seated at a desk or workstation. Occasional standing, walking, bending, or lifting of light office materials (up to 20 pounds) may be required. Extended periods of computer use and repetitive hand movements are common.
