Werehiringa DjangoDeveloper whoisobsessedwithbuildingrealproducts,notjustwritingcode.Youveshippedsomethingbeforewhetherastartupthatfailed,asideprojectthatgrew,oracompanyproductthatscaled.Youknowthepainofbuilding0?1,andyouwantanothershotatit.

AtDownstream,youllworkdirectlywithourCTOandProductteamto:

• ArchitectAI-forwardworkflowsparticularlyagenticsystemsthatorchestratedecision-making,negotiation,andautomationforourcustomers.
• CollaboratewithourFlutter/frontendengineerstodeliverclean,reliable,andmodernAPIs.
• Movefast:deploy,test,anditerate.

Responsibilities

• Design,build,andmaintainDjangoapps,APIs,anddatamodelsthatpowerourmarketplace.
• Implement agenticAIarchitectures systemswhereAIagentscanreason,plan,andactautonomouslytoimproveworkflows.
• IntegrateAItoolsandservicesintocoreproductflows(e.g.,intelligentrecommendations,negotiationagents,suppliermatching).
• Drivefeaturesfromconcept?production,collaboratingwithproduct,design,andotherengineers.
• Contributetoarchitecturaldecisionsandmentorjuniordevelopers.
