Your Role as a Color Quality Control Specialist

As a pivotal team member in our laboratory, your task is to ensure our products adhere to strict quality standards, primarily by focusing on color formulation. Your role involves evaluating the best pigments for specific color matches and performing keen visual assessments using color software. Your expert knowledge of pigment properties and compatibility with polymers will be put to good use, ensuring accurate color productions that meet customer demands.

Your Responsibilities

• Apply your understanding of pigment compatibility and identify the perfect color blends for customer requirements.
• Engage in color measurements and utilize your visual skills for precise color assessments.
• Leverage software to interpret color curves and create color formulas.
• Contribute to and enhance procedural improvements within the lab.
• Effectively manage data entry and other computing tasks.

Your Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED certification.
• Adept in color discrimination, ideally with the ability to pass the Farnsworth/Munsell 100 hue test.
• Experience in a quality control or manufacturing sphere.
• Meticulous in equipment cleaning and weighing procedures.
• Proficient in basic mathematics and able to carry out calculations accurately.
• Strong in written and verbal communication, with good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Quick decision-making abilities with accuracy in multitasking.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
• Must be capable of standing for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to lift bags of material up to and including 55 pounds safely
