ASSOCIATE PARK AND RECREATION SPECIALIST – ANGELES DISTRICT / DISTRICT OFFICE / MALIBU CREEK STATE PARK
The reporting location for this position is the Malibu Creek State Park located at 1925 Las Virgenes Road Calabasas, CA, 91302. This position will work under the direction of Senior Enviornmental Scientist (Supervisory).
Under the direction of the Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisory), the Associate Park and Recreational Specialist is responsible for planning, environmental review, real property management and public relations on a district-wide basis. This includes preparing Project Evaluation Forms (PEF), distributing and coordinating the review to other resource specialists and team members, coordinating the review of Notices of Exemption (NOE), as well as filing NOEs and other CEQA documents at the State Clearinghouse. May assist in the preparation of Negative Declarations, Environmental Impact Reports and other environmental documents for District initiated projects. Reviews and analyzes local planning documents and proposed projects for potential impacts to District park unit lands. Completes Right of Entry permits.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
This position is not eligible for telework.

Working Conditions
Work conditions primarily consist of an office setting, using computer, telephone and other business equipment. Typical work activities involve frequent and prolonged periods of sitting. Occasional work outdoors in climates ranging from hot, dry environments to coastal beaches and cool forests.
